The Mercedes-AMG G 63 is already one of the most recognisable luxury SUVs on the road. With the Mirage Edition, Mercedes-AMG gives the iconic model a more distinctive identity, inspired by the landscapes and atmosphere of the Gulf.

Limited to just 35 examples, the special series has been created specifically for the GCC market. Its design takes inspiration from the desert and the visual effect of a mirage, where light, heat and distance can transform the appearance of the landscape.

The most distinctive element is the MANUFAKTUR Verde Silver Magno paintwork. Its unusual combination of green and silver tones gives the G 63 a subtle colour-shifting effect, particularly under strong sunlight. Gold accents and 22-inch AMG forged wheels add contrast without taking away from the understated character of the finish.

The same attention to detail continues inside. The cabin features Nappa leather, open-pore grey oak and bespoke elements developed for this model. Individual numbering is incorporated into the interior and exterior, giving each vehicle its own place within the limited production run.

Underneath the bespoke finish, the Mirage retains the mechanical character that has made the G 63 so distinctive. Its 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 develops 585 hp and 850 Nm of torque, supported by a 48-volt mild-hybrid system. AMG Active Ride Control suspension and three locking differentials further underline its combination of road performance and off-road capability.

The regional focus of the model is equally significant. The GCC has become an important market for high-performance and highly personalised vehicles, and Mercedes-AMG has chosen to create a specification that reflects this environment rather than simply offering another variation of its global range.

With production restricted to 35 vehicles, the G 63 Mirage Edition sits at the intersection of performance, craftsmanship and collectability. It retains the unmistakable silhouette of the G-Class while giving it a specification that is unlikely to be seen outside the Gulf.

For enthusiasts in the region, it represents a particularly rare interpretation of one of Mercedes-AMG's most recognisable models — built around the idea that sometimes, the most desirable cars are the ones you rarely see twice.
